Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA)

For the past few years, Pro Arte Musical has sponsored the trip of the young musicians who won the auditions to join the prestigious YOA (Youth Orchestra of the Americas), a world-class orchestra made up of young leaders from 25 countries of the American continent. Directed by artistic tutor Plácido Domingo, the YOA Orchestra of the Americas is made up of musicians between the ages of 18 and 30.

The young Puerto Rican musician Anthonny Calderón (French horn) was the representative of Puerto Rico for the 2016 Nordic-Baltic and 2017 Southern Cone (Argentina, Brazil and Chile) tours. The representatives of Puerto Rico for the 2018 European Tour were Danira Rodríguez Purcell (violin) and Nayib González (trombone).

In 2019, the selected one from Puerto Rico was the young violinist from Ponce, Carolina Pons, who participates in the Tour of Mexico.
