Héctor J. Jirau Colón Dr. Héctor Jirau holds a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology, an M.S. in Financial Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He has been nominated and received numerous awards and recognition from federal institutions, holding a fellowship grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH) for four consecutive years. Dr. Jirau worked as a financial advisor at a state-registered Investment advisory firm offering separately managed accounts services in healthcare. Dr. Jirau has served as an Associate at Unity Growth Fund, a private equity firm, leading their investor relations and investment due diligence efforts for their Pre-IPO and early-stage investments in highly vetted companies like SpaceX, Thrasio, Stripe and Klarna. He also served as the investment fund manager and today as the Director of Operations and Investments of Parallel18, a renowned global startup accelerator. Dr. Jirau holds ownership in early-stage companies in different sectors and maintains active participation in numerous ventures in the healthcare sector.
