Puerto Rico’s longest-running cultural organization reaffirms its commitment to musical excellence by bringing the most prominent musicians on the current international scene to the island.

Pro Arte Musical is pleased to present the concert schedule for the 2025-2026 season, a program carefully designed to create intimate encounters and delight audiences with musical excellence.

The new season includes six main concerts of classical and contemporary genres, featuring flamenco and jazz, among others. The focus will be on masterful instrumental performances.

“At Pro Arte Musical, we are dedicated to offering concerts that enrich the stage with world-class artistic experiences. Our program is distinguished by presenting the best of classical and contemporary music live with the highest quality of performance,” said Karen E. Schneck Malaret, executive director of Pro Arte Musical.

The inaugural concert will mark the triumphant return of the Barcelona Guitar Trio & Dance, who, after the resounding success of their first performance on the island, return by popular demand with their guitar and flamenco dance show, in tribute to Paco de Lucía, on Sunday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m., in the Pablo Casals Symphony Hall of the Santurce Fine Arts Center.

The season’s program continues with a performance by Puerto Rican master pianist Harry Aponte and guests in an Impressionist Evening on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., at the historic Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Theater in Old San Juan.

The third concert will feature the return of the sought-after Brazilian duo Sérgio and Odair Assad, virtuoso guitar brothers, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the University of Puerto Rico Theater, Río Piedras Campus.

The season continues with a performance by the extraordinary composer and bandoneonist JP Jofre on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Pablo Casals Symphony Hall of the Centro de Bellas Artes.

The fifth concert will feature composer and drummer Jonathan Barber and the jazz group Vision Ahead, with special guests from the courtyard, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Interamerican University Theater, Metro Campus.

Finally, the New Virtuosos Series will present Puerto Rican classical guitarist Juan Pablo Lugo Morales, winner of the Roberto I. Ferdman 2025 and María Zeno Annexy 2025 awards, at the Jesús María Sanromá Hall of the Bertita and Guillermo L. Martínez Theater of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music in Miramar, on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
