Pro Arte Musical presents Puerto Rican soprano Adrinelle Chiesa in the New Virtuosos concert series, which will take place on Saturday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jesús María Sanromá Hall of the Bertita and Guillermo L. Martínez Theater of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music in Miramar.
In the concert titled “Love: From Innocence to Transformation,” Adrinelle will guide the audience through the different stages of this emotion in a moving vocal repertoire. From the sweetness of innocence and falling in love, through the pain of disappointment, to nostalgia and transformation, the soprano will offer a captivating narrative with a repertoire that includes opera arias, zarzuela, and classical songs from Europe and Latin America, accompanied by the talented pianist Diana Figueroa.
ADRINELLE CHIESA GARCIA
Originally from Cayey, Adrinelle began her musical studies at age 10 on the recorder and, at 14, gravitated to the oboe, an instrument on which she made her debut with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra at 15. Since then, her passion for the Spanish-language vocal repertoire, especially Puerto Rican, has been one of her greatest artistic pursuits, seeking to convey sensitivity and beauty in every performance.
The 2024 winner of the prestigious Roberto I. Ferdman and María Zeno Annexy Awards, both awarded by Pro Arte Musical, Adrinelle Chiesa promises to offer an evening filled with expressiveness and bold musicality. The young artist, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Classical Voice at the Mannes School of Music in New York, has shone as a soloist with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Mannes Orchestra, and the Puerto Rico-Virgin Islands Friendship Orchestra. She will soon make her debut at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and perform with the Puerto Rican Philharmonic Orchestra.
