Pro Arte Musical presents Puerto Rican master pianist Harry Aponte and guests in Impressionist Evening Among Cobblestones on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the iconic Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Theater in Old San Juan.
Harry Aponte, a pianist nominated several times for Grammy Awards, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He has performed as a soloist and accompanist in major international venues and festivals, including Carnegie Hall, the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center, Madison Square Garden, and stages in more than 15 countries.
In Puerto Rico, he plays regularly with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and the Arturo Somohano Philharmonic, in addition to having been part of singer Víctor Manuelle’s orchestra. He also teaches at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music, contributing to the training of new generations of musicians.
During the concert, the master pianist will be accompanied by musicians Paula Lastra on violin, Andrés Maldonado on clarinet, and Diego Marrero on cello. The repertoire will include pieces by Maurice Ravel, Jules Massenet, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninov, Aram Khachaturian, and Camille Saint-Saëns, marking a night inspired by the Impressionist period and the night lights of Old San Juan.
